Applications to the One Health Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR) Research Network competition are due on Tuesday, June 16. This competition will provide one $5.6M grant over 5 years to establish a national, interdisciplinary, and cross-sectoral network that advance One Health AMR research, research capacity, knowledge mobilization, and policy linkages in Canada.
SPARC is offering the following resources and services to support UBC-led applications to this competition:
- Guidance on drafting a TCV and templates for most required attachments are available through the SPARC website under CIHR Resources → CIHR Operating, Team and Large Network, and Other Grants (CWL login required).
- UBC Research Data Management offers a custom pre‑funding Data Management Plan (DMP) template through the DMP Assistant that you can use to draft your DMP. Applicants are reminded that their DMP must follow CIHR formatting requirements.
- 1:1 consultations to provide guidance on tailoring your application to this funding opportunity, including a discussion of the required Sustainability Plan, which is a new CIHR attachment.
- Please email me, Stefanie Novakowski, at stefanie.novakowski@ubc.ca to arrange a meeting.
- Editorial and criteria reviews of the 12-page Research Proposal and 1-page Summary if received by 10am on Monday, June 8. High-level criteria reviews of required attachments will be provided if capacity allows.
- Reviews will be completed on a first come, first serve basis, with one review per application.
- All feedback will be returned by the end of day on Friday, June 12.
- Please send me an email at stefanie.novakowski@ubc.ca with your intent to request a review as soon as possible so we can ensure we have capacity to support all interested UBC applicants. Then, email me your documents in MS Word format by 10am on Monday, June 8.
