NSERC Joint Calls + Calls with Partner Agencies

NSERC often partners with fellow government agencies nationally and internationally to provide funding opportunities in areas of particular importance or relevance using natural sciences and engineering approaches.

As of May 1st, researchers applying to these competitions must comply with new and updated Government of Canada research security requirements.

UBC’s Research Security team is available to provide support and resources related to these new requirements, as well as to guide you in implementing best practices to safeguard your research.

Funding envelopes for these calls vary greatly, as does researcher/partner eligibility guidelines. Be sure to consult the NSERC page for each individual call to ensure eligibility and completeness of your application.

Application Process

Deadlines and procedures vary by competition. Typically, applications must be received prior to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the relevant deadline date.
