NSERC 2023/24 Discovery Grant Evaluation Group Webinar

Please join us for an informative webinar about the NSERC Discovery Grant program, which features an introductory presentation and a panel discussion with UBC faculty who serve on Evaluation Groups for the Discovery Grant program. Discovery Grants are NSERC’s primary operating grant that supports ongoing, long-term programs of research in the fields of natural sciences and engineering. Discovery Grants promote high-quality research, foster research excellence and provide for a stimulating environment for research training.

Panelists range across the spectrum of natural sciences and engineering disciplines and will discuss their experience in reviewing applications, offer insight into what makes a successful application, provide advice on common mistakes, and answer questions from the audience. 

The webinar will be delivered via Zoom and all Discovery Grant applicants and support staff are invited to attend.
