Insight Development Grant Writing Bootcamps
December 10 - December 30, 2024
In these hands-on workshops, open to both new and re-applicants, participants will be guided through “writing prompt” exercises on the Summary, Knowledge Mobilization Plan, Expected Outcomes Summary, and Budget Justification modules, followed by dedicated writing time for each. These sessions are co-facilitated by Danica Kell, Research Development Officer at SPARC, and Brianna Wells, Research Development Officer at ORS Okanagan, who will both be on hand throughout the writing time to answer module-specific questions.
Participants in last year's session had the following to say:
- "It was extremely valuable to be given smaller chunks of information, then a block of time to work on that module"
- "As a new researcher (or someone new to writing grants), this was a comprehensive look at how to approach this seemingly overwhelming process"
To optimize time spent at this bootcamp session, we highly recommend researchers also attend the IDG Information Session on Tuesday, November 3rd, 1:30pm-3:30pm, which will provide a "full picture" orientation of the IDG process. Please visit the event page for more information and to register.
Applicants are invited to attend any/all of the choices listed below:
