Climate Action and Awareness Fund Test Your Concept Panels – Thursday, May 13

SPARC is hosting Test Your Concept (TYC) panels for researchers interested in submitting applications to the 2021 Climate Action and Awareness Fund (CAAF) Competition.

These TYC sessions will be held on Zoom, where an interdisciplinary panel will meet with each UBC-led team for 30 minutes to provide constructive feedback on research concepts. The Lead Applicant, joined by 1-2 UBC members of their team, is expected to provide a 5-minute presentation summarizing their project concept, which CAAF Theme (1-5) it falls within, and how it satisfies the funding goal of strengthening Canada’s science capacity to identify, accelerate, and evaluate mitigation actions towards achieving net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 in Canada.

Teams will also be asked to submit a half page overview of their project in advance of the session for the TYC panel to review.
