SPARC Support for Summer 2025 Planning & Dissemination Grant (due June 19; uses new Tri-agency CV)

CIHR recently launched the Summer 2025 Planning & Dissemination Grant competition (i.e., Other: Planning and Dissemination Grants – ICS) with a June 19 Application deadline. The budget envelope is $2,920,000, which is the largest since the Winter 2023 cycle and enough to fund ~124 awards. Awards across the 24 different funding pools are valued between $10k and 75k for 1 year (see Sponsor Descriptions for details).

The major update this cycle is the use of the new narrative-style Tri-agency CV, so SPARC’s Summer 2025 competition support is expanding to include the following:

  • SPARC Planning and Dissemination Guidebooks and Activity Description Templates, available on our CWL-protected CIHR Resources webpage;
  • SPARC-annotated version of the CIHR Tri-agency CV template, also available in CIHR Resources; and
  • CIHR Tri-agency CV drop-in consultations available on Thursday, May 22 (10am-1pm) and Monday, May 26 (1-4pm), requiring registration using the form below and day-before submission of draft CV.

SPARC is offering one-on-one Tri-agency CV consultations on Zoom for UBC researchers applying to the Summer 2025 Other: Planning and Dissemination Grants – ICS competition.

This is the first major CIHR competition in 2025 to use the new narrative-style Tri-agency CV. As such, these consults will provide an opportunity for all parties to explore strategies for showcasing CV content across the three required CV sections: Personal statement; Most significant contributions and experiences; and Supervisory and mentorship activities.

To facilitate the consult, participants are required to submit their draft CV by 12 noon the day before their consult. This will allow SPARC staff to familiarize themselves with the content ahead of the discussion, although we will not be formally reviewing the document. 

Consults are available in 20-minute time slots on a first-come, first-served basis for the days and times listed below.

  • Thursday, May 22, 10am-1pm
  • Monday, May 26, 1-4pm
