NSERC Joint Calls + Calls with Partner Agencies

NSERC often partners with fellow government agencies nationally and internationally to provide funding opportunities in areas of particular importance or relevance using natural sciences and engineering approaches.

As of May 1st 2024, researchers applying to this competition must comply with Government of Canada and Tri-Agency research security requirements. Please see UBC’s Research Security website for more details or to book a consultation with the Research Security team.

Funding envelopes for these calls vary greatly, as does researcher/partner eligibility guidelines. Be sure to consult the NSERC page for each individual call to ensure eligibility and completeness of your application.

Application Process

Deadlines and procedures vary by competition. Typically, applications must be received prior to 5:00 p.m. Pacific Time on the relevant deadline date.
