Support available for SSHRC Partnership Grant Stage 1

SPARC is pleased to announce the following support services available for applicants to the 2022 SSHRC Partnership Grant Stage 1 competition.  In addition to the optional services below, SPARC will also facilitate the mandatory Institutional Support Letter.  Please contact danica.kell@ubc.ca as soon as possible for details and deadlines.

Test Your Concept Panel: December 8, 1:30-3:30pm (contact danica.kell@ubc.ca to book a timeslot)
Test Your Concept (TYC) sessions give applicants an opportunity to briefly present project plans, and then receive early feedback from and experienced panel prior to competition deadlines.  This year, our panel consists of Lisa Sundstrom, SSH RA and Professor in the Department of Political Science (PI of a SSHRC PDG), and Ben Mortenson, Associate Professor in the Department of Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy (Project Director of a SSHRC PG).

SPARC Review
The following are flexible, suggested deadlines.  Please contact danica.kell@ubc.ca to discuss alternative timelines, if need be.

  • Wed, Jan 26: Submit Summary of Proposal, Budget Justification (Stage 1 funds only) and Contributions Plan modules
  • Fri, Jan 28: Submit Goal and Project Description module
  • Mon, Jan 31: Submit Description of Team, List of potential partner organizations and other contributors, and Research contributions and relevant experience modules
