Support for NSERC Alliance Missions grants: Critical minerals research
This is a collaborative funding opportunity in which university researchers must partner with (at least one of) government, private sector organizations, and/or not-for-profit organizations to develop new tools, methods and models, and to facilitate the uptake of new knowledge to support sustainable and responsible development of Canada’s critical minerals sector. Please see NSERC’s webpage for this funding competition for more information, including on eligible subject matter.
SPARC Support Offered:
- Consultations (Zoom or in-person) are offered on an ongoing basis. Please contact Erin Evoy (erin.evoy@ubc.ca) if you would like to schedule a meeting to discuss your application, ask questions, and receive strategic advice. We recommend scheduling a consultation early in the grant development process.
- Reviews of a complete draft of your full application are also available. If you are interested in a review, to ensure we have time to support all interested applicants, we ask that you contact Erin Evoy (erin.evoy@ubc.ca) by Tuesday, October 10th, 2023, to register your interest. We will begin our reviews as soon as full drafts are available, and will work with those who are interested to understand when their full application is expected to be ready for review.
As Faculty-embedded grant facilitators may also offer reviews for this competition, we respectfully request that PIs register either with SPARC or with your in-house grant facilitators to avoid duplication during the busy fall season.
NSERC must receive the application before 5:00 p.m. Pacific on the deadline date.
