These sessions provide a forum for researchers to connect with UBC Tri-Council Coordinators, grant experts and peer review panel members, as well as networking opportunities for those investigators intent on building new teams and collaborating on grant applications.
SPARC may also offer specialty workshops tailored to meet the specific needs of Departments, Faculties and other units. To discuss the development of a specialty workshop, please contact us.
Examples of specialty workshops:
- A small workshop designed for a specific Faculty provided a forum to discuss the broad definition of “health research” and strategies for accessing new funding opportunities.
- A networking session, “Discover Aging Day”, brought together diverse UBC researchers and community members and ultimately led to the creation of a successful CIHR Team Grant application.
